A Day in The Life Of Tree

Ps 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Today I had a dentist appointment, my first in 5 years mostly due to being pregnant.  Well my sweet husband took the morning off so that he could watch the kids for me while I go to my dentist appointment.  Sarcastically he told me to watch how HE manages the house.  He knows that I can be a little “OCD-ish” and told me that I’m always burnt out because I don’t pace myself.  Needless to say I was quite interested to see how he would manage to clean the whole house and manage the children while still finding time to take a nap.  So off I went….

I arrived at the dentist promptly at 8:45am to get my x-rays and routine cleaning.  The X-ray technician greeted me with a warm smile and was very considerate.  The hygientist on the other hand was brutal.  While checking my teeth I told her that I needed to swallow she had the audacity to tell me that I can swallow while she’s working on my mouth (while its wide open).  I kindly told her that I can’t and proceeded to close my mouth to swallow the little saliva I had in my mouth.  After about 15-20 minutes of pure torture (not really but I’m just being my dramatic self…lol) I was finally done.  The doctor came in and told me that my teeth looked great but I do have a small cavity that I need to get filled and evidently I grind my teeth at night and he wants me to wear retainers.  Ok no problem I’m thought to myself, then he dropped the bomb…”We need to pull all of your wisdom teeth because they are not growing and can’t grow anymore and are beginning to rot.”  Great… All 4…You have got to be kidding me!!!!!  Of course he wasn’t, so now my sweet husband has to take some vacation days so that his wife can get all 4 teeth pulled.  Oh well at least I will get some sleep…heehee

Back at the home front husband did it.  I walk in to see a marvelous sight.  Hubby was finishing dishes and the whole house was clean.  He bragged of course telling me how he was able to take a quick nap and still had time to clean.  I didn’t want to bust his bubble by incorporating all the other things I do such as: laundry, projects, focus cleaning, cook, run errands, crafts with kids.  He did well and he was proud of himself and I was proud of him too.  Oh yeah, what made it all special was when he rub my head and said, ” I did it because I love you and I wanted you to rest.”  How sweet is that man!
